Ass of the Week
Usually we see this kind of assery with writing gigs but it seems cheapskates abound anywhere creativity is involved.

I’m in need of an illustrator to help complete a tabletop gaming project that is in its third revision. The look and style of this project has been set, we need the Artist to illustrate playing cards, and general gaming/mood illustrations.
We are now trying to bring this game into general release, but cannot due to use of copyrighted toys in the current images.
This is not a paying gig, but it is ideal for someone who wants to break into the gaming industry and wants to get there foot in the door. This is ideal for intern who is looking to build up their portfolio. If we are successful with the initial game release we would like to retain you for future supplements, and will pay all fee’s for your artwork.
If interested please reply to this add, and we will send your further details. Thank you for your time, and I look forward to working with you in the future :)
- Location: Anywhere
- it’s NOT ok to contact this poster with services or other commercial interests
- Compensation: no pay
So in other words the most important person is getting the shaft. Again with the food in the door, portfolio building lamery.
What do you mean if you’re successful? You won’t be successful because you get what you pay for. Since you’re looking for an artist of the non-paying variety I’m thinking you’ll get someone who illustrates like, well, like he’s not being paid.
Pay your artists or do the job yourself, cheapskate!
What an ass.
